As director of O’Shaughnessy Creative, Chris’s primary focus is delivering simple, strategic, concept driven communications that allows universal accessibility regardless of the medium. He achieves this through smart creative thinking, his wealth of experience, and client relationships based on high levels of collaboration, trust and respect.
Over the years, Chris has collaborated with some of the world’s top brands and businesses from worldwide icons such as AT&T, Shell, HSBC Bank and Philips; to proud Irish institutions such as the Irish Department of Finance, Friends First and Irish Life.
His work has been judged and published internationally, winning a variety of creative awards, with some of his executions leading creative thinking worldwide and adopted by clients as global best practices.
Before founding O’Shaughnessy Creative in 2011, Chris worked as Creative Director of Design at JWT Advertising Toronto (2003-2011), specialising in design and brand strategy spanning different disciplines and different international markets for clients such as Bayer Inc., Johnson & Johnson, Cadbury Adams, HSBC Bank, Walmart, Unilever, Canon and Mazda.
Previous to this, Chris was co-founder of E-quator design; a joint Irish/US-based design and information technology consultancy with a creative presence in Europe and the United States. E-quator created award-winning work for clients such as ADP, AT&T, Avaya, Logica, Lucent Technologies and Philips.
Chris has played key roles in developing many of Ireland’s well-known brands, including Green Isle Goodfellas Pizza, Eircom, Irish Life and the Department of Finance. He was instrumental in the brand identity and renaming of Friends Provident Life Assurance to Friends First and the naming and brand identity of Tusa - a joint venture between TSB Bank and Superquinn, which became the first in-store bank in Ireland.
Chris continues to be an advocate for the development and growth of Irish creative business internationally.
